EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Machinist for our Houston, TX facility. The purpose of this role is to provide machining operation, maintenance and support to the Production department. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

- · Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers. · Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines or grinders. · Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers. · Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations. · Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. · Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products and determine product dimensions and tolerances. · Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work. · Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock in order to display placement of cuts. · Manage inventory of tools to maintain efficiency of jobs going through the shop. · Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter. · Program computers and electronic instruments such as numerically controlled machine tools. · Consult with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information. · Establish work procedures for fabricating new structural products, using a variety of metalworking machines. · Support metalworking projects from planning and fabrication through assembly, inspection, and testing, using knowledge of machine functions, metal properties and mathematics · Design fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs. · Able to hold tolerances at or below .005” · Complete other task when asked by supervisors or management

Required Skills / Knowledge

- · ability to use and read precision tooling, ability to work both in team setting as well as with minimum supervision, strong knowledge and experience with manual machines. · Must be able to operate various powered hand tools. Able to read engineering & manufacturing drawings. · Able to check own work with inspection tools, gauges, micrometers, and indicators. · Experience working with horizontal lathes, vertical milling machines and surface grinders. · Capable of machining down to precise tolerances below .0005 inches. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. · Ability to perform routine machine preventative maintenance. · · General understanding of gas turbines, gearboxes and centrifugal compressors, or similar rotating equipment

Experience

- Must have minimum of 5 years’ experience working with close tolerances on manual lathes, grinders and mills and performing basic routine maintenance on machines & tools.

Education Requirements

- Must have High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

- Able to stand for long periods of time. able to lift 30lbs
