Overview
We are seeking a Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in machining processes and be able to learn CNC machining. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret drawings. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components that meet precise specifications.
- Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure quality control.
- Conduct electrical discharge machining as needed for specific projects.
- Maintain tooling and hand tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and using power tools.
- Assist with the setup of machines and troubleshooting during production runs.
- Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various materials including plastics for injection molding.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
- Experience with welding techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
