Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Greater Sudbury, ON. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. You will work on fabricating, modifying, and repairing mechanical instruments and tools. The role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, inspecting workpieces, and ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards. Collaboration with other team members on production tasks and continuous improvement projects is essential.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders

- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

- Skilled in precision measuring tools and instruments

- Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and fabrication processes

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Completion of a technical certificate or apprenticeship program in machining or a related field

- Previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is an asset
