GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is part of the Layout team. Uses AP-100US to program fiber laser and turrets. Uses NC Express to program CO2 punch combo machine. Utilize CAD to design orders for the shop as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
•Produce accurate programs on a timely basis for a variety of machines
•Work with production to resolve issues, troubleshoot programs, and implement improvements
•Prepare technical designs and drawings by use of SolidWorks, and/or other method(s)
•Interact with manufacturing to ensure programs are accurate and designs are manufacturable
•Interface between sales and manufacturing to produce a design that meets the customers’ expectations
•Oversee the execution of assigned projects from design to shipment
•Perform additional duties as requested and assigned
•Other responsibilities as assigned by manager
QUALIFICATIONS
•G-Code program understanding required
•Experience and understanding of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
•A strong mechanical aptitude is a plus
•Ability to read and use measuring devices such as calipers and tape measures
•Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks with simultaneous timelines and complete them accurately
•Have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across varying levels of the organization.
•Ability to use critical thinking and sound reasoning to solve moderately complex manufacturing problems
•SolidWorks Sheet Metal experience is a plus
REQUIREMENTS
•2-3 Years minimum experience in Programming
•1-3 Years minimum experience in CAD design
•Experience in blueprint reading
•Some SolidWorks experience preferred
