About This Job

HTS Fabrication is seeking a CAD/Designer to become a new member to our team. Located in Lakeville MN, this new member will use computer-based tools to design parts and assemblies, create production drawings, and manage BOMs for small, medium, and large projects. This also includes duties: originate, develop, or modify product designs from conception to finished manufacturing documentation assuring quality, manufacturability, functionality, serviceability, and cost have been considered.

Requirements:

•

2-year technical or associate degree in computer aided drafting

•

Autodesk, AutoCAD and Inventor

•

Strong mechanical aptitude and 3D special awareness.

•

Mechanically inclined and be familiar with fabrication/manufacturing environments and materials.

•

Use communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical personnel in both oral and written formats as needed to complete project objectives.

•

Able to use problem solving skills to address issues encountered on projects and work with teams to get necessary information through the correct points of contact.

•

Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects at one time in a deadline driven environment.

•

Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google(GMAIL, Sheets, Docs, Presentations) or similar productivity software.

•

Someone who shows initiative and ownership in their work along with being self-motivated to carry out tasks with minimal guidance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•

Support sales with layout and design drawings for client approval in accordance with client specifications and provide solutions.

•

Talk one on one with clients to address their needs and ideas

•

Research parts and supplies to apply to the job at hand

•

Review project documentation for accuracy and adherence to company standards.

•

Identify and communicate any issues related to implementation or resource availability that may impact timelines or budgets.

•

Generate production drawings for manufacturing and assembly processes

•

Maintain material records, illustrations, and documentation.

•

Collaborating and communicating with creative design, business development, client services, graphics, and production teams.

•

Participate in design/product meetings and client/company requirements gathering.
