- Reads and interprets product work orders.
- Provides quality control checks and completes daily quality checklist.
- Sets up, operates and maintains the roll former in order to keep it continuously operational for maximum uptime and minimal scrap created.
- Performs adjustments to the roll forming line to properly produce the required profile
- Coordinates with co-workers in both the coil area and packaging area to ensure that the proper coil is placed on the uncoiler and that finished product is correctly labeled and packaged.
- Interacts with electronic machine controller that provides key information to run the roll former including order information such as quantity, length, color, etc.
- Properly completes line coil usage and product manufacturing reports.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Machine Operators will utilize a personal computer, calculator, band cutter, hand bander machine, caliper, tape measure, ruler, wrenches, and a utility knife in the course of work.
- Machine Operators work in an inside environmental condition and have protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
