Machine Operator

We have a career opportunity for an experienced machine operator to join the LeachGarner team and work rolling mills.

4-day work week! 4:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Thursday

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Set up and operate precision rolling mill to reduce a variety of heavy-duty precious metal stock to a precise thickness

- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle

- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)

- Feed raw material

- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools

- Test operation of machines periodically

- Fix issues that might occur during the shift

- Maintain activity logs

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

- Proven experience as machine operator

- Experience using calipers and micrometers

- Understanding of production procedures

- Able to speak and understand English

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals

- High level of attention to detail

- Good math skills

- High school diploma or GED; technical degree is a plus

Physical and work condition demands of the position:

- Standing and walking throughout 10-hour shifts

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Ability to push and pull with force

- Ability to reach stoop and crouch for long periods of time

- Visual acuity for quality inspections and defect detection

- Repetitive motion

- Willing and able to wear PPE at all times as required
