Under the direction of the Group Leader, the Machine Operator uses production and measurement equipment to produce products that meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Yield and Cost goals. Each operator is responsible for and has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality nonconformance.
- Uses appropriate safety measures.
- Runs equipment as trained. This includes making adjustments to equipment where necessary. If the required adjustments are beyond the scope of the operator’s training or ability, then the operator has the authority to contact maintenance or supervisory personnel to correct the problem.
- Uses appropriate measurement equipment and techniques as trained.
- Has the responsibility and authority to initiate corrective actions and reject non-conforming material.
- Records and maintains documentation and data as required.
- Follows applicable work instructions.
- Uses good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area.
- Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel.
- Maintains good relations with co-workers, management and visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains R-134A compliance per work instructions and training.
