LTE Engineer / OTSC Analyst

We are currently seeking to hire an experienced LTE Engineer to join our growing Operational Technology Support Centre (OTSC) team, delivering world class remote OT support services to multiple tier 1 mining operations around the world.

The OTSC LTE Engineer position is suited to self-motivated individuals who are free thinking, technical problem solvers, that can identify opportunities to add value, and can instinctively and proactively deliver it to our clients.

Job description

Responsibilities:

· Preparing and reviewing technical design documentation,

· Designing and maintaining technical performance reports,

· Report and monitor KPI's to assess service quality within the LTE network and subsystems,

· Applying standard Root Cause Analysis methodologies and techniques to troubleshoot and solve network issues,

· Accountable and responsible for collating reports for Network Performance, Incident Management and change events from multiple systems and data sources,

· Translating and applying technical insight into actions. Presentation and report writing required for communication to senior and technical and non-technical management,

· Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to help optimise and troubleshoot complex technical systems,

· Preparing reports for service review meetings,

· Data mining - extracting data from complex sources.

· Some travel to customer sites may be required.

Required skills:

· Previous experience undertaking complex analysis of private LTE based problems is essential,

· In depth knowledge and understanding of mobile (LTE) technologies, services, and platforms, including an understanding of Operational issues that may occur,

· Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing and supporting IP based networks,

· High level of IT proficiency, including knowledge of the OSI layer and network design in the OT domain is required,

· Previous experience with mining fleet management systems such as CAT MineStar, Front Runner or equivalent dispatch and fleet management systems is highly desirable,

· Python Knowledge is highly desirable,

· LTE Vendor Certification(s) (Nokia, Ericsson, etc.) is highly valued..

Academic requirement:
