- Work within a growing team of transport professionals managing, executing and monitoring the day-to-day rail car movements within an allocated region of Canada and/or the United States.
- Ensure sales contracts are followed / rail cars are loaded and released to the correct customers and with the appropriate contracted rail road.
- Work together with Trade Execution department to identify priority shipments and ensure shipment/delivery schedules are followed.
- Maintain and develop a professional relationship with both internal and external customers, railroad companies and other service providers.
- Support the department operations manager on railcar billing/releases and diversions.
- Provide details of shipments to the Documentation Support team enabling timely delivery of reports to both Customs and customers.
- Work collaboratively with the team toward the goal of maximizing the utilization of the company’s rail car assets.
- Logistics background.
- Eagerness to participate and contribute within a team environment.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and drive to succeed.
- Ease of working on different platforms.
- Learning new software must not be an issue.
- Online platform friendly: Outlook 365, Google Drive, Forms, Shared files. Intranet, knowledge in Excel.
- Bilingual (English and French) an asset.
