The Logistics Coordinator is the pipeline control center liaison. The Logistics Coordinator works with various departments and customers to ensure all pipelines are operated in the most effective manner. This role also balances delivery to an from customer and company commitments.
Responsibilities May Include:
Partnering with the Commercial/Scheduling Operations personnel to balance supply with delivery commitments to company and third-party pipelines
Communicating with field personnel, third-party pipelines, producers, and facilities to resolve various daily operating issues
Coordinating pipeline volumes with upstream/downstream deliveries ensuring specifications and product quality are maintained throughout pipelines
Participates in all project reviews with Engineering and Commercial to stay informed on new injection and delivery points added to our systems
Working with Logistics and Operations during abnormal operating conditions to develop and execute on long term action plans to resolve issues
Assisting with operating procedure creation and maintenance
Assisting with Management of Change
Assisting and engaging in alarm rationalizations with Operations and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
Understanding hydraulic requirements and compressor/pump operation for all operation scenarios
Understanding Federal Control Room Regulations and Control Room Management Plan (CRMP) requirements under this rule
Understanding Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulation that may apply to operation and product movement
Reviewing daily operations conditions to ensure proficient and efficient operations
Responding to customer or operational requirements and issues
Assisting on issues outside normal working hours
Performing other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
High school diploma or GED
Experience working with DOT192/DOT195 regulations
Have a basic understanding of pipeline operations and product flow processes
Have knowledge of Control Room Management Plan (CRMP) requirements to comply with PHMSA
Understand FERC regulations that may apply to operation and product movement
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to perform the following physical requirements:
Work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity
Occasionally exerts a pulling force of 130 pounds
Frequently lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
Occasionally climb A-frame ladders
Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the Gas Plant
Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time
Willing and able to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher
5 or more years of experience in Control Center operations
5 or more years of experience with DOT/PHMSA regulations including Control Room Management (CRM) requirements
Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
Midstream
The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
