Job Description Position Overview
The Logistics Analyst role will support the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations across Invenergy’s projects. This position will assist with the logistics for Invenergy’s capital equipment related to wind, solar, transmission, and energy storage projects. The Logistics Analyst will be located at Invenergy’s Chicago headquarters and will report to the Logistics Manager.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, and carriers to schedule and execute deliveries to warehouses or project sites
- Request and analyze transportation and warehousing quotes from vendors
- Track shipment schedules and maintain tracking reports to identify freight expenditure, delivery timelines, and vendor performance
- Manage logistics databases to support internal stakeholders
- Maintain relationships with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and trucking companies to optimize delivery schedules in accordance with project requirements
- Communicate delivery status in real-time, manage equipment receiving, inventory status, and provide updates throughout the organization
- Monitor import shipments, coordinate customs clearance, and cargo delivery
- Support other projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, or related field
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for site visits
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI; Python or other programming language a plus- 1+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, transportation management, or a related field
- Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage deliverables for multiple projects at a time
- Familiarity with trucking, warehousing, risk management, insurance claims, and cargo security
- Experience in logistics or supply chain within the renewable energy, construction, or project cargo industries
- Desire to work in a dynamic environment alongside individuals with diverse interests and backgrounds
Base Pay
70,000.00 - 85,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 15%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
