We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our legal team. The Legal Intern will be responsible for supporting attorneys and paralegals in various areas (e.g., litigation, compliance, internal investigations, corporate law, contract law, and more). This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment and an opportunity to develop practical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
This position is an entry level role. The role directly reports to Director, Litigation, Ethics, and Compliance, and routinely interacts with stakeholders from legal, compliance, and human resources.
- Draft and review legal documents, including memorandums, contracts, pleadings, compliance documents, human resources documents, and other correspondence.
- Draft and review company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assist in litigated matters and internal investigations.
- Prepare litigation and investigative reports.
- Organize and maintain business and case files, ensuring accuracy compliance with firm protocols.
- Summarize legislative and regulatory developments.
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, document drafting and filing, and client communications.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and assignments, as needed and assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree, or actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- Strong academic record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively independently and in a team environment.
