Description
The Lead Weatherization Technician – Quality Assurance, position is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of weatherization projects, conducting inspections, performing diagnostic tests, and providing technical guidance to ensure homes meet energy efficiency standards and program guidelines. Performs repair and installation services as needed. All work to be performed with the highest quality and efficiency.
Location: Primarily in San Bernardino, with travel as needed to San Diego, Bakersfield, and surrounding areas.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Manages the quality assurance program throughout multiple locations.
•Performs job site inspections to verify measures are installed to established quality standards.
•Performs job site assessments to verify information and capture pictures of future project.
•Install/correct any missed feasible measures as needed such as caulking, small wall repairs, light bulbs,
power strips, weather stripping screws, etc.
•Provides quality assurance report from branch inspections to executive team.
•Enforces all company safety policies and procedures.
•Assists in identifying risks and provides safety training to reduce company exposure.
•Analysis quality improvement needs, provides training and coaching.
•Assists in researching material issues and complaints and offers solutions.
•Coordinates with Program Managers to improve overall quality of direct install program.
•Recommends and leads efforts to improve existing processes to improve quality.
•Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
Requirements
•Proven experience as a weatherization technician with a strong understanding of energy efficiency principles
and best practices.
•Ability to identify and resolve quality issues, ensure compliance with industry standards, and provide
constructive feedback.
•Proficiency to repair or install weatherization measures.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients,
stakeholders, and team members.
•Work well both independently and as a member of a high-performance team.
•Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to meet daily schedules.
•Strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
•Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
•Employee is required to have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience:
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Three or more years of related experience required.
•Proficient in English speaking and writing; bilingual (Spanish) is desired.
Working Conditions:
•25-50% travel is required.
•Participate in evening or weekend support when needed.
•Employee will be required to climb 6-ft to 10-ft ladders to access work.
•Employee may be required to drive 6 hours one way to job site.
•Employee will be required to work with power tools and operate equipment.
•Employee may come in contact with hazardous material and/or substances while working.
•Employee may need to lift up to 50lbs and requires full range of motion.
•Employee will be required to crawl and access confined spaces.
