Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, we are on the bus line. We are currently seeking to DIRECT HIRE a Maintenance Technician for our 3rd Shift.
Who are You?
You have a passion for working with your hands and troubleshooting mechanical components. You are seeking a third shift job working 11:00 pm - 7:30 am, Monday thru Friday with some overtime. The starting pay for this position is $32/hour + $3 Shift Premium.
You'll collaborate with an upbeat, hard-working, and diverse team to keep our plant running smoothly and to continuously improve our machinery and maintenance department. What will You be Doing?
•Perform a variety of general trades related maintenance duties to maintain plant systems, structures, and equipment where journeyman license is not required. May involve routine rough carpentry, replacement of basic machine parts, switches, painting, piping, etc.
•Assist tradesmen in major maintenance projects.
•Follow all safety procedures.
•Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
•Maintain documentation of assigned maintenance activities.
•Perform troubleshooting activities.
•Check for UNOV (unusual noise or vibration) from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and/or discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or predict a machine malfunction.
•Fabricate, build, install, and repair counters, benches, partitions, floors doors, building framework, trim and other structures.
•Respond to emergency calls.
•Test malfunctioning machinery and repair.
•Under supervision, layout typical electrical wiring installations and do routine trouble shooting on plant equipment and systems where material specification and code requirements are usually prescribed.
•Replace faulty electric components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors and positions sensing devices.
· What requirements do You Need?
•Minimum high school diploma or GED.
•Minimum 2 years' experience in similar role preferably in a manufacturing setting.
•Preferred continuing post education in trades.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
