Overview

We are seeking a self-driven and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and a passion for renewable energy. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar panel systems on residential properties. This role requires hands-on experience with electrical components, as well as the ability to work safely at heights.

Duties

•

Install solar panels and related equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems.

•

Install energy storage systems and related equipment and properly tie system with grid interconnection.

•

Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local code standards during installation.

•

Conduct electrical wiring for both high voltage and low voltage systems.

•

Utilize hand tools and power tools for fixture installation and system setup.

•

Perform routine maintenance checks on installed solar systems to ensure optimal performance.

•

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.

•

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

•

Confidently interpret plans and blueprints to ensure equipment is installed as permitted.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in the solar industry, preferably 5+ years with experience under new Net Billing Tariff.

•

Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards.

•

Ability to work with various hand tools and power equipment effectively.

•

Experience in roofing is a plus, particularly for system installations that require integration with existing infrastructure.

•

Knowledge of electrical theory for testing electrical connections is essential.

•

Comfortable working at heights, including roofs, while following all safety guidelines.

•

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
