Off-Grid Power Systems is a rapidly growing renewable energy system business located in Delaware, Ohio. We design, sell, install, and service state-of-the-art power generation and lithium battery energy storage for commercial, specialty, and recreational vehicles, properties such as houses, cabins, and farms, and customized commercial and governmental applications.
We are hiring a Lead Installer in our installation and services department. A lead installer is the primary installation technician and will direct and mentor junior installers during projects. The Lead Installer will work hand in hand with the engineering team in scoping customer needs and environments to arrive at the correct solution for each project. The Lead Installer will direct on-site field installation projects and any junior installers. The Lead Installer is a key contributor to the success and growth of the Off-Grid Power Systems team.

The Lead Installer will have the following required technical and practical skills:
- Functional knowledge of AC & DC electrical systems[JG2] [EJ3] ;
- Functional knowledge of basic contracting skills, including carpentry, wiring, and construction;
- Ability to use hand and power tools;
- Ability to read a basic electrical schematic, or ability to quickly learn with training;
- Understanding and ability to tow a trailer and ability to drive on rough or unfinished roadways.
- Ability to utilize some construction equipment, including specifically bobcat, auger, trencher and forklift.
- 3-5 years work in an active construction or electrician role, ideally in a site supervisor capacity
- Mobile radio, electrical, or audio installation;
- Professional audio/video solution design or installation;
- Military or civilian radio deployment, operation, or repair;
- Residential or commercial electrical and/or solar installation;
- Computer networking design and installation;
- Recreational vehicle repair and installation;
- Must be able lift 70 pounds from the ground to chest height;
- Must be comfortable working under vehicles, on the roof of vehicles, and in confined spaces, as in a camper or mobile home;
- Must be comfortable working on multi-story, pitched and flat roofs
- Some travel will be required, as projects may be completed on site at a remote location. This could be for up to a week, and will be within the Ohio Valley region, including Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Western Pennsylvania.
