MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN- LEAD

Juniper Industries, a leading steel fabricator of doors and other fabricated mechanical assemblies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician Lead

Job Responsibilities:

Utilizing Bills of Materials gathers and assembles mechanical components into subassemblies and final products to meet specifications and schedules

Job Duties:

- Receive work orders, set up individuals with proper tools for the job and guide for maximum efficiency

- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists

- Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials

- Assemble components and linkage assemblies according to drawings and samples

- Operate power and hand tools, drills press, and torque wrenches as needed

- Conduct quality checks at each stage of the assembly process, identifying and resolving any issues before final product completion

- Assisted in training new assembly line workers on safety protocols and assembly procedures

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Offer suggestions for improvement

- Report errors/issues to supervisor

Qualifications:

- Mechanical linkage assembly experience

- Ability to identify, count components by type, part descriptions and measurements

- Able to read measuring tools including tape measure and gauges

- Experience working on production environment using power and hand tools including drilling, tapping, parts insertion

- Excellent manual dexterity

- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift 75 pounds.

- Use of appropriate PPE (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Gloves, Clothing As Directed)

- Reliable and punctual, with excellent attendance records

- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
