Lead Environmental Technician

Signum Consulting Ltd’s mission is to provide consulting services to the oil and gas industry in areas of reclamation, Phase I/II environmental site assessments, and remediation. We aim to provide a safe and healthy working environment for employees, consultants, and the general community.

We are looking for an individual to join our team as a fulltime Environmental Lead Field Technician.

Some tasks include:

•Completing Phase I/II environmental site assessments, including field prep and report writing;

•Complete remediation field work and report writing;

•Complete underground tank pull sampling and reporting;

•Complete weed checks and vegetation/soil detailed site assessments;

•Supervise minor surface soil work, and vegetation management;

•Helping prepare reports from field visits;

•Work some weekends if required;

•Be comfortable working alone.

The position will be based out of Vermilion, AB at the field office. Some travel throughout AB will be required at times.

Qualifications and Skills, we are looking for include:

•Previous work experience in reclamation is required as the individual will be a lead

•Living in Vermilion or the close surrounding area

•Valid Drivers License

•Environmental Degree, or a Diploma in a related field

•Safety tickets such as First Aid, H2S, Ground Disturbance is preferred

•Individual should be motivated to work and have excellent communication skills

•Must have basic computer skills for report writing and daily activity reporting

•Understanding of environmental regulations, and reclamation documents is an asset

•Ability to work extensively in the field in a range of weather conditions

The individual will be paid hourly. The hourly rate will be determined by years of work experience.
