Lead Commercial Solar Installer

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Commercial Solar Installer! This position is responsible for overseeing the installation of solar panel systems, leading a team, and ensuring safe and efficient work practices, while also managing project documentation and customer interactions. This role requires strong technical skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

- Leading a team of solar installers, providing guidance, training and ensuring efficient workflow.

System Installation:

- Assembling and installing ballast and racking systems, solar panels, inverters, and other electrical components.

Safety and Compliance:

- Enforcing safety protocols, ensuring adherence to electrical codes, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Technical Expertise:

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, reading schematics, and understanding system components.

Project Management:

- Coordinating with project managers, documenting job status, and managing paperwork.

Customer Interaction:

- Providing updates on project status, educating customers about the system, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

- Experience with electrical work, solar panel installation, and system troubleshooting.

Leadership Skills:

- Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient workflow.

Physical Stamina:

- Ability to work on roofs, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.

Communication Skills:

- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and customers.

Safety Awareness:

- Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to electrical codes.

2-3+ years experience as a Lead Commercial Solar Installer is preferred, more than 1 year experience is required

Valid Driver's License

Certifications:

- OSHA-10

Additional Information:

Location: Lead installers may work on residential or commercial properties, both rooftop and ground-mounted systems.

Travel: Positions require travel to different job sites and/or warehouse.

Certifications that are a plus:

- OSHA-30

- NABCEP

- Hoisting license to operate lull/forklifts
