Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Solar Installer to join our team in delivering high-quality solar energy systems. The Solar Installer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires technical expertise, attention to safety, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
•Install solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and related equipment on rooftops or ground-mounted structures.
•Perform electrical wiring and connections in compliance with local codes and standards.
•Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
•Assist in site assessments, including measuring and evaluating roof conditions or ground space.
•Maintain tools, equipment, and work sites in a safe and organized manner.
•Collaborate with team members, including project managers and electricians, to complete projects on time.
•Provide excellent customer service, addressing client questions and concerns during installation.
•Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in solar installation or electrical work preferred.
•1-3 years of experience in solar PV installation, electrical work, or a related field.
•Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
•Ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), and perform physically demanding tasks.
•Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
•NABCEP certification or OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 60 per week
