Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to lead projects from start to finish. This role requires expertise in various construction techniques, including restoration, installation, and heavy lifting. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

•

Oversee and manage carpentry projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.

•

Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks such as building structures, installing cabinets, and performing restorations.

•

Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship throughout the project.

•

Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.

•

Conduct construction estimating for materials and labor required for projects.

•

Perform plastering tasks as needed to finish surfaces smoothly.

•

Provide guidance and training to junior carpenters and apprentices on best practices in carpentry work.

•

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

•

Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required during the course of projects.

Requirements

•

Mechanically Inclined

•

Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

•

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

•

Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.

•

Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes.

•

Experience with cabinet installation is highly desirable.

•

Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during work hours.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.

•

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
