Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to lead projects from start to finish while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and project managers.
Responsibilities
•
Oversee and coordinate carpentry projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to specifications.
•
Perform various carpentry tasks including framing, installation, and finishing work.
•
Conduct construction estimating to determine project costs and materials needed.
•
Lead a team of carpenters, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.
•
Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
•
Manage heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently, ensuring proper techniques are used.
•
Collaborate with other trades such as electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians to ensure seamless project execution.
Skills
•
Proficient in framing and finishing work.
•
Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices.
•
Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
•
Familiarity with hand and power tools.
•
Skilled in installation techniques for various materials including wood, metal, and drywall.
•
Knowledge of roofing systems and plumb alignment practices is essential.
•
Experience with metal stud framing and concrete forming methods is highly desirable.
