Laser Operator/Programmer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of blueprints, and the ability to perform quality inspections to ensure that all products meet specifications.

Duties

- Operate laser cutting machines with precision and efficiency.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.

- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

- Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.

- Utilize hand tools and press brake machines as needed for secondary operations.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

- Proficiency in operating CNC laser cutting machines.

- Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes.

- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.

- Strong skills in blueprint reading and quality inspection techniques.

- Ability to use hand tools, lathe, and press brake machines effectively.

- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Previous experience as a Laser Operator or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
