At Nitro Cutting, we specialize in high-quality metal fabrication—and it all starts with precision cutting. We’re looking for a detail-driven Laser Operator to join our production team. This role is key to ensuring clean, efficient cuts that minimize waste and maximize output for our custom components.
If you take pride in craftsmanship, safety, and working in a team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you.
- Operate laser cutting tables to produce accurate parts with minimal waste.
- Handle raw material loading and unloading using overhead cranes and other equipment, always prioritizing safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints and job specs to ensure correct dimensions and part orientation.
- Spot check cut parts for quality, tolerances, and customer specifications.
- Complete all job-related paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any defects or mechanical issues to your supervisor.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces while following safety guidelines and company policies.
- Assist in continuous improvement by sharing feedback on processes and material usage.
- Operate vehicles or machinery safely and respectfully—whether in the shop or the yard.
- Represent Nitro Cutting professionally at all times, with a strong work ethic and team-first attitude.
- 3–5 years of experience in a laser cutting or related metal fabrication role (or equivalent education and hands-on training).
- Familiarity with Trumpf machines preferred, but not required — we’ll train the right person.
- Solid understanding of reading blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Comfortable with material handling and overhead crane operation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work collaboratively with others.
- Strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accountability.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and ready to grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Join a close-knit team where everyone’s contribution matters.
- Be part of a company that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Gain exposure to custom fabrication work that challenges your skills.
- Competitive compensation, room for advancement, and supportive leadership.
