This role will be remote, but the ideal candidate should reside in Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, or Michigan due to our project locations. Travel will be required 40% of the time.

Doral is seeking a Land Manager to join our growing company. The Land Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Development and will be tasked with leading utility-scale solar and storage greenfield prospecting and active project development efforts primarily in the Midwest. This role will be remote and will require travel up to 40% of the time.
- Coordinate land acquisition campaigns for multiple prospective utility-scale projects (200MW+) at any one time. This will include managing external land agent resources and direct easement negotiations with landowners.
- Communicate progress to the Sr. Director of Development on a regular cadence to drive project success.
- Represent Doral to landowners, local/state government officials, consultants and other key stakeholders.
- Work closely with other departments including engineering, finance, marketing, construction, transmission, legal and operations to proactively identify project risks, implement solutions, and maximize project value.
- Work with technical team and consultants to assist with the transmission interconnection process.
- Work collaboratively amongst the team to execute on co-located renewable energy projects.
- Stay up to date on market trends, regulatory policies, and technologies in the renewable energy sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry partners, investors, and stakeholders.
- Cooperation with development team where needed on land acquisitions, permitting, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree (business or engineering-preferred).
- Land acquisition work (either directly or managing) signing up new land for renewable energy projects. Project development experience is a plus, but not required.
- Comfortable negotiating contracts such as site control agreements.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with landowners, public officials, and all those potentially affiliated with Doral and/or the project.
- Team player who thrives off collaborative work, actively engaging with colleagues to socialize information and seek feedback on projects.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint). GIS-based mapping platforms experience a plus but not required.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, able to understand different project components and their impact on project budget and schedule.
- Ability to understand the implications of technical details and coordinate effectively across departments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Ability to work in the US without visa/Green Card sponsorship from Doral
