We are seeking a motivated Junior System Administrator to join our IT team. This role will focus on installing, configuring, and maintaining the company’s various computers systems, and applications. The successful candidate will assist in system upgrades, apply patches, troubleshoot technical issues, and support both on-premise and cloud-based environments. This position requires foundational experience with Microsoft technologies, end-user support, and systems administration.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide desktop and laptop support including printers, hardware, third-party applications, and Microsoft services.
•Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications across a variety of platforms.
•Manage and support Microsoft SCCM, Intune/Endpoint, and mobile device management (MDM).
•Create and maintain technical documentation for systems configurations, processes, and procedures.
•Mentor support staff and serve as a technical point of contact when needed.
•Implement patches and updates for operating systems and applications.
•Ensure compliance with architecture principles and technology standards.
•Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
•Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers.
•Participate in procurement processes.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
•Post-secondary education in programming hardware/software or related field
•Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
•Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory/Entra, Intune/Endpoint, and Azure services.
•Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems and applications.
•Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V).
•Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems.
•Understanding of networking services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.
•Previous experience in end-user hardware/software support.
