Job Description:
The System Administrator will be reasonable for maintaining, upgrading and managing our software, hardware and networks. The System Administrator should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. The System Administrator should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. The goal of the the System Administrator will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Essential
Duties:
•Install and configure software and hardware
•Manage Azure Entra, Azure Virtual Machines and related tools.
•Manage network servers and technology tools
•Set up accounts and workstations
•Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
•Troubleshoot issues and outages
•Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
•Upgrade systems with new releases and models
•Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
•Build and implement company intranet to manage an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Required:
•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or 5 Years equivalent experience required.
Preferred:
•Professional certification eg. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, AssociateCompTIA Server+, and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Required:
Experience:
•Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
•Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
•Experience with various operating systems and platforms (Dynamics Nav and/or Dynamics 365 BC a plus)
Preferred:
•Honorably discharged service veterans.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
•Must possess and maintain a valid United States passport.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
•Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security
•Ability to create scripts in Python, PowerShell, Azure PowerShell, Bash
•Basic VMWare VSphere management.
•Proficient with management of: Microsoft Server, Linux Server, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL
•Network and firewall management background a plus.
•Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
•Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision.
•Ability to work under stress in high pressure situations.
•Able to handle frequent interruptions and handle conflict in an effective manner.
•Possess the ability to be a team player.
