Per Diem $120/day (work 6, paid 7)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Journeyman Ironworker to join our team. This role will initially be based at our Sinking Spring (SS) fabrication facility supporting an active project, with the expectation to transition into traveling field assignments nationwide.
This position involves structural steel erection, connecting, welding, rigging, and fabrication support. Candidates must be safety-focused, dependable, and capable of working in both shop and field environments.
Responsibilities
- Safely erect, connect, and install structural steel and metal components
- Perform bolt-up, plumbing, aligning, and decking as required
- Execute structural and miscellaneous welding as needed (SMAW/FCAW preferred)
- Perform rigging, signaling, and hoisting operations safely
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Assist with fabrication and material handling while assigned to the shop project
- Work at heights and in physically demanding environments while maintaining safety standards
- Collaborate with crew members and leadership to meet production and project schedules
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an ironworker (structural steel preferred)
- Experience with connecting, rigging, bolt-up, and structural erection
- Welding experience (stick and/or flux core) strongly preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel for extended durations after initial shop assignment
- OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
- Ability to work overtime and 50–70+ hour weeks as project demands require- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work at heights
- Must be able to walk and work on uneven surfaces and steel structures
- Work is performed both indoors (shop) and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Initial assignment at Sinking Spring (SS) fabrication shop
- Travel required (up to 75%+) following completion of shop-based project work- Position may include nights, weekends, and overtime
