Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

•

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.

Conduct industrial cleaning operations as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

•

Maintain floors through buffing and care techniques to ensure they are in optimal condition.

•

Handle custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, adapting to the specific needs of each environment.

•

Assist in facilities maintenance tasks, addressing minor repairs and upkeep as necessary.

•

Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use.

•

Act as a porter when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment within the facility.

•

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Experience

•

Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.

•

Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.

•

Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is beneficial.

•

Experience with floor care methods including buffing is highly regarded.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.

•
