What you bring

•

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

•

Enterprise IT systems administration aptitude, focusing on Microsoft Windows Server or Red Hat Enterprise Linux and a general understanding of networking technologies is required.

Responsible for the architecture, design, planning, testing, implementation, and administration of the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and security applications at UNS. Participates in a team environment that provides cost-effective IT infrastructure application services to the various business units. Works closely with other areas to insure optimum reliability and cohesiveness.

Position-Related Responsibilities

•

Architect, recommend, design, implement, and support IT infrastructure and mobile infrastructure application technologies for UNS corporate network and critical operational networks, including Energy Management System, Physical Security, Generation and Engineering/Substations networks. See Appendix A for specific technologies.

•

Architect, recommend, design, implement, and support IT security application technologies for UNS corporate network and critical operational networks, including Energy Management System, Physical Security, Generation and Engineering/Substations networks. See Appendix A for specific technologies.

•

Develop processes and tools to support implementation, maintenance, security, and production scripting and programming of IT infrastructure and security applications.

•

Architect, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure and security solutions for UNS and its subsidiaries with an emphasis on integration between companies and flexible solutions that are cost-effective and scalable.

•

Ensures security is maintained on the IT infrastructure and security applications by utilizing security best practices and working with IS Security to implement, configure, and troubleshoot security systems such as LDAP directory services, security information and event management, patch assessment and management, anti-malware, change detection, and vulnerability management and penetration. Ensures IT infrastructure and security applications are designed and maintained per security regulations and internal computing controls.

•

Works with internal and external auditors to implement relevant regulatory controls including NERC CIP and Sarbanes-Oxley on IT infrastructure and security software. Remediates audit issues as necessary.

•

Ensures change control and release management processes are followed and service levels affected by those changes are maintained.

•

Architect, implement and maintain IT infrastructure and security processes and tools to support litigation holds.

•

Leads or participates in IT projects as needed to provide IT infrastructure and security application expertise, guidance, or training.

•

Measures performance of IT infrastructure and security applications and takes appropriate actions to ensure that performance meets client needs and applicable IT service levels.

•

Works with internal and external project managers and clients as necessary to develop technical and business requirements, design IT infrastructure and security software solutions, prepare capital and expense budget estimates related to required IT infrastructure and security software support, and complete projects and efforts on time.

•

Works with IT software application vendors to procure and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure and security applications.

•

Manages IT infrastructure and security software suite for corporate and industrial control networks, including developing and testing disaster recovery plans, processes and procedures.

•

This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)

Level I

Minimum Qualifications

•

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

•

Enterprise IT systems administration aptitude, focusing on Microsoft Windows Server or Red Hat Enterprise Linux and a general understanding of networking technologies is required.

•

Effective written and oral communication skills are required plus a willingness to learn in a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred.

•

Two or more years in an IT related discipline is preferred.

Level II

Minimum Qualifications

•

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

•

Effective written and oral communication skills are required plus a willingness to learn in a rapidly changing environment. Assists more experienced administrators on projects and deals with day to day support.

•

Requires Industry certifications (e.g. MCTS, MCITP, RHCSA) or equivalent experience of 1-3 years of IT systems administration.

Preferred Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred.

•

One or more years of experience maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure and/or security application solutions is preferred.

Level III

Minimum Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

•

Experience leading IT systems administration projects with emphasis on project management methodologies.

•

Experience in completing projects and providing strategic direction on how the IT infrastructure and security application portfolio should evolve.

•

Requires Industry certifications (e.g. MCTS, MCITP, RHCSA) or equivalent experience of 3-5 years of IT systems administration including knowledge beyond that of a Level II.

Preferred Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.

•

Experience in creating budgets for projects and maintains accountability for the actual dollars charged to that budget.

•

One or more years IT systems administration experience in a large (500+ client) enterprise or industrial control environment.

Senior Level

Minimum Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

•

Effective written and oral communication skills are required plus a willingness to learn in a rapidly changing environment. Assists supervisor on projects and deals with day to day support.

•

Experience leading IT systems administration projects with emphasis on project management methodologies.

•

Strong ability to document software architectural designs in Microsoft Visio.

•

Experience in creating budgets for projects and maintains accountability for the actual dollars charged to that budget.

•

Experience in providing strategic direction on how IT infrastructure and security software is architected and designed to meet business needs.

•

One or more years of IT systems administration experience in a large (500+ clients) enterprise or industrial control environment.

•

Requires high-level industry certifications (e.g. MCM: Exchange, MCM: SharePoint,MCSE, RHCSA) and equivalent experience of 5-8 years of IT systems administration experience including knowledge beyond that of a Level III.

Preferred Qualifications

•

Experience with systems administration solutions in support of corporate disaster recovery and business continuity.

•

Two or more years IT systems administrator experience in a large (500+ clients) enterprise or industrial control environment.

Pay Rate: Salary determined based on candidates experience and qualifications.
