They also contribute to infrastructure strategy, process standardization, and technology innovation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Daily IT Service and Operations Management -
Vendor & MSP Oversight*: Oversee day-to-day IT operations including the help desk, data center, and network infrastructure.
Negotiates with suppliers to provide products and services to meet organizational objectives. -
Help Desk Support*: Serve as an extension of the MSP service desk as the primary onsite resource for end-user IT support needs
Metrics*: Manage operational KPIs, monitor incident trends, and identify areas for performance improvement. ```{=html}
Systems Continuity*: Ensures performance, availability, and recoverability of data, infrastructure, systems, and services. - Asset Management*: Oversee software deployments, device provisioning (laptops, phones, peripherals), user onboarding/offboarding, and general IT asset lifecycle management. - Technical Solutions:* Facilitate formal software evaluations and support business teams with business solutions. Advises business leaders on impacts and outcomes regarding solutions. - End-User Training*: Develop, maintain, and deliver training content for various IT workflows, new user onboarding, etc. ```{=html}
Tool Administration*: Assist with administration of tools
MSP-provided tools, such as MDM, ticketing systems, RMM, SaaS, and collaboration tools. -
Process & Documentation*: Support Director of Technology to maintain internal documentation for IT systems, procedures, and support workflows. Assist in standardizing IT practices across the organization and third-party vendors. - Security & Compliance*: Support basic cybersecurity hygiene practices, access management, patching, and compliance with IT policies. Manage security awareness (training & phishing) program. - Project Coordination*: Support and help lead small-to-medium technology initiatives, including system upgrades, rollouts, security hardening projects, and process improvements. - Planning & Strategy: Assist Director of Technology with IT budget forecasting, cost control, and business planning. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements before going into job) B.S. Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of experience in an IT support or operations-focused role; or equivalent combination of education, training. Experience managing relationships between internal IT and external service providers (including MSP/MSSP), either as an MSP supporting clients, or within a company supported by an MSP. Experience leading or contributing to technology projects, such as deployments, upgrades, or process improvements. Technical Qualifications: Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows system support and administration. Device Provisioning & Endpoint Management: Experience with MDM solutions (Intune preferred) and provisioning workflows. Software Deployment & Patch Management: Familiarity with software rollout proces es and remote deployment tools. IT Asset Management: Knowledge of asset tracking systems and lifecycle best practices. Directory Services & Identity Management: General knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO/SAML integrations.
