Adherence to these safety responsibilities is one of the key factors in the evaluation of each employee’s performance.

Working Relationships

The IT Manager reports to the Client Service Manager for MRP and works closely with both corporate and plant personnel, as well as management, to support and optimize the infrastructure and related systems used by Middle River Power. This role collaborates with the compliance department to ensure NERC CIP compliance and to provide the necessary documentation of adherence. The IT Manager also oversees members of the infrastructure team, managing both system and network operations.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a home office environment, involving extensive computer use, sitting for prolonged periods, and frequent virtual communication with internal teams and external stakeholders. A reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace are essential for effective performance.

Travel to power generation facilities will be required. During these site visits, tasks could involve standing for extended periods, climbing stairs and ladders, and wearing personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Work may also take place outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold. Smoking restrictions apply in and around all facilities.

Fitness for Duty

All personnel will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program, which includes a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and post-employment random drug screening.

Given the remote support nature of this role, some flexibility in schedule may be required, including extended hours, varied shifts, or weekend and holiday work, to respond to operational needs or emergencies at power plant facilities.
