Job Summary
Texcast is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Investment Casting Dipping Lead to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient creation of expendable mold shells used in the production of metal castings. s.
- Prepare expendable mold shells for use in investment casting processes
- Maintain records about slurry chemistry, dipping procedures, and other relevant procedures
- Follow safety procedures and read SDS sheets to determine safe handling of mold materials
- Maintain clean and safe work environment free of debris and obstructions
- Utilize extensive hand tools and machinery to maintain production equipment
- Measure, weigh, and evaluate material components for accuracy for production
- Analyze and troubleshoot quality issues with shells, taking preventative and corrective action
- Monitor production metrics, set-up times, and record data in company data systems
- Lead process improvement initiatives and implement new techniques
- Train and mentor new technicians the dipping process of investment casting
- Communicate with supervisors and other technicians to ensure quality standards are met
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in a related role- Working Technical knowledge of engineering documents, such as drawings preferred
- Extensive mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in the use of advanced hand tools and machinery
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
