Job title: Inventory Lead

Reports to: Stockroom Manager

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the organization’s inventory counts, correct counts as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Monitor and maintain real-time, accurate inventory records.

- Anticipate inventory needs, place orders, and manage stock replenishment to prevent overstocking or shortages.

- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating and reconciling any discrepancies to identify and resolve root causes.

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory control procedures, maximize efficiency, and improve inventory accuracy.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent communication skills.

· Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.

· Proficient keyboarding skills. Microsoft Office

· Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain an effective workflow.

· Ability to develop professional relationships with others at Petersen Ind.

· Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Experience with computerized inventory systems required.

· Forklift operator certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing counting

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

· Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
