Inventory/Warehouse Team Leader

Location: Spring Valley IL Job Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The Inventory/Warehouse Team Leader oversees the daily operations of the warehouse and inventory control within a production facility. This role ensures efficient material flow, accurate inventory management, and timely distribution to support production and shipping schedules. The leader supervises warehouse staff, enforces safety protocols, and drives continuous improvement in logistics and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

- Team Leadership

- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to meet operational goals

- Assign tasks and monitor performance, providing coaching and feedback

- Schedule and manage time-off requests to ensure coverage

- Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate inventory records using our Manufacturing software

- Conduct regular cycle counts and report any discrepancies

- Oversee raw and finished good inventory.

- Warehouse Operations

- Ensure timely and accurate receiving, picking, packing, and shipping

- Monitor warehouse layout and optimize space utilization

- Inspect equipment and coordinate maintenance or replacements

- Compliance & Safety

- Enforce OSHA, and facility-specific safety standards

- Ensure proper handling and storage of material

- Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Coordinate with production and shipping on when to move product

- Assist in monthly inventory reconciliation

Qualifications

- Proven experience in warehouse/inventory management, preferably in a production or manufacturing setting

- Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills

- Must be able to lift materials and inspect inventory on warehouse shelves

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
