The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior at UNCW studying Professional Selling, Marketing Strategy or Communications.
You will sell a professional energy consulting service. We work to reduce the utility bills for energy intensive businesses. We share the savings with them. If we don't save them money, our services are free.
We have been in business for 27 years. We have been hiring UNCW students and graduates for that entire time. They have been the key to our success.
We have done business with more than 10,000 businesses. We have created a cumulative $ 750 million in savings for those businesses.
You will call the owners, CEOs, Presidents, CFOs, Vice Presidents and other managers of businesses of many types and sizes. Your role will be to convince them to have a face to face or virtual meeting with either the President of UMS or one of our Account Managers. When possible, you will go along on the in-person sales call to help close the sale and to learn more about the sales process.
After the sales call, you will take the follow-up actions necessary to close the sale.
All work will be performed on-site at the UMS office at 6317 Oleander Drive in Wilmington.
Potential exists for this to not only be a paid internship, but for it to also earn you credit hours toward graduation.

Hourly base pay plus very generous sales commissions.
