Proactively safeguard Berkshire Hathaway Energy and national security by fostering partnerships and coalitions to anticipate and mitigate strategic threats through advanced intelligence, comprehensive risk assessments, and collaborative strategies. Working with significant independence and under general direction, the Intelligence Analyst I performs a variety of complex tasks to inform security and resilience activities through the development of advanced intelligence products focused on cyber and physical threats to Berkshire Hathaway Energy assets and operations.
Develop trust with and provide threat intelligence and context to key customers, including the Global Security Operations Center, vulnerability management, information technology and operational technology teams. Communicate and coordinate across teams and lead the development of relevant intelligence flows, reports and briefs calibrated to risks to BHE businesses and national security. (75%)
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of BHE business and operational needs to drive relevance in intelligence products. (15%)
Provide timely and accurate cross-platform support in response to emergent cyber, physical, and geopolitical security events that may impact BHE interests. (5%)
Assist in complex cyber and physical security investigations or assessment activities as needed. (5%)
Interest in proactively safeguarding BHE and its interests, including national security.
Bachelor's degree in intelligence, political science, international relations, business, technology, security or related field. (Typically, four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Two years of experience in network security monitoring and analysis, cyber threat intelligence, cyber incident response, or related experience.
Experience in intelligence management, security technologies and corporate security topics preferred.
Knowledge of energy systems, networks, information technology and operational technology terms, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors, preferred.
Effective interpersonal and communications skills, including effective written and communication skills appropriate for business executives.
Project management skills with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, operating with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail under time constraints.
Data management skills with experience in at least one programming language, preferred.
Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
