Risk Analyst

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Risk Analyst to join our Electric Utility Project Management Group. This role is ideal for an entry-level candidate with strong analytical skills, experience in project management, and a desire to grow within the organization.

The Risk Analyst will support the team by analyzing project data, developing and maintaining risk registers, and identifying trends that inform strategic decision-making. This is a dynamic role with significant opportunity for professional development and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development and maintenance of project risk registers and databases.

- Perform data mining and analysis to identify patterns, trends, and potential risks across project portfolios.

- Generate reports and dashboards to support project risk assessments and executive decision-making.

- Track and analyze project volumes and performance metrics.

- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate risk documentation and mitigation planning.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to risk management processes and tools.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile).

- Experience with database development and management.

- Knowledge of utility industry regulations and standards.

Benefits & Salary:

- This position pays between $80,000 and $95,000 annually and is an exempt position.

- Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.

- Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.

- May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
