Utility Energy Services (UES) provides energy efficiency program implementation services to utilities across the U.S. We support the design, execution, and optimization of utility energy efficiency programs by leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices.
UES is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support performance tracking, reporting, and data analysis for utility energy efficiency programs. This role serves as a critical link between program operations, data systems, and client communication. It is ideal for an individual who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of turning complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Working closely with Program Manager, the analyst will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, support program forecasting efforts, and contribute to client-facing deliverables. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with structured data systems, asking thoughtful questions, and ensuring that reporting tools align with enterprise-level architecture designed by the Database Engineer on the Technology Solutions team.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working with data to solve problems and is curious about using AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance efficiency and insight. A willingness to learn, communicate clearly, and contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven environment is essential.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and tools to support program-level performance tracking, KPI monitoring, and internal reporting
- Work closely with the Program Manager to define data needs, reporting cadence, and deliverables that support forecasting, goal tracking, and program optimization
- Conduct trend analysis, identify gaps or risks in program performance, and present findings that inform strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with the enterprise-level Database Engineer to ensure reporting tools are based on validated, secure, and standardized data sources
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of client-facing reports and presentations, including in-person meetings at client sites as needed
- Leverage automation and explore the use of AI-enhanced tools to improve data workflows and insight delivery
- Maintain documentation for all reporting tools, dashboards, and data processes to support consistency, scalability, and compliance
- Stay informed about program requirements, regulatory changes, and performance standards to ensure reporting aligns with client and contract expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Environmental Studies, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably client-facing- Proficiency in Power BI and SQL, with demonstrated experience in building and managing dashboards and reports
- Familiarity with relational databases and experience working within structured data environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical insights in a clear, client-friendly format
- Interest in exploring AI-enabled tools and automation to support reporting and analytics, even without prior development experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
