The Inside Sales Rep skillfully and assertively markets the company's services and products to his or her branch's assigned sales territory through excellent telephone sales and communication skills.
Accepts incoming customer calls and provides outstanding customer service by selling products and services
Gathers data and actively listens to prospective and existing clients by using consultative methods to fully understand their business, uncover their problems, and identify impact areas
Creates and delivers complex, customized solutions that provide value to clients' bottom line
Becomes a subject expert and acquires industry intelligence by researching trends and best practices, reads business publications, seeks out learningdevelopment opportunities and utilizes internal training resources
Maintains effective business rapport with vendors in order to facilitate proficient distribution relationships
Drives revenue by effectively addressing the client's business needs, offering appropriate value proposition solutions, creating urgency, and closing accounts over the phone
Works closely with Purchasing on material availability and lead time
Works closely with ShippingReceiving to ensure product receipt and facilitate results
Assists with Inventory Control on a regular basis
Operating standard office equipment including MS Office applications, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner
Ability to initiate, establish, and nurture meaningful business relationships over the phone
Knowledge of production processes, quality controls, and costs
Developing effective working relationships with peers so as to work as a team
The Inside Sales Rep may be located at each branch and reports to the General Manager. Hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, with OT as needed. Physical demands are minimal to moderate and typically require the following: 80% sitting, 10% walking and 10% standing. Lifting of supplies and material, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling is required.
Inside Sales training is to be carried out at any branch location necessary. The General Manager is responsible for the Inside Salesperson's training. When possible, the training will be directed by the General Manager, conducted with the assistance of an incumbent Inside Salesperson as appropriate.
