Inside Sales/Account Manager

Position: Inside Sales/Account Manager

Reports to: Inside Sales Manager

Location: Fargo, ND

Compensation: Salaried DOE ($65,000 - $80,000)

Outline of the role

To develop, maintain and monitor all inside sales processes for JD and related companies in the agriculture industry.

Essential Functions

- Process all incoming correspondence from customers (JD and all JD related companies)

- Provide pricing and product availability to JD and JD related companies

- Analyze and accurately execute production orders going into the shop

- Work with the shop on scheduling orders and with the shipping so material is delivered in a timely manner

- Staying informed of industry pricing and how it affects company sales

- Knowledgeable on machine capabilities and requirements to produce product for customers

- Communicate with the Outside Sales Staff and be knowledgeable of customer demands and expectations

- Maintain awareness in market trends

- Assist with EDI (fill in for other JD Sales person when they are gone)

- Back up for JD ASN’s

- Ensure that the customer receives a high degree of satisfaction

- Report in accordance with agreed times and formats

- Carry out duties in accordance with company and ISO standards

- Pro-actively support the NPS/Owen Industries team

Competencies

- Previous Inside Sales/Account Manager/Customer Service Experience in a ManufacturingIndustrial Setting Required

- Ability to read and understand blueprints/ shop drawings

- Adobe Acrobat

- Microsoft Office

- SAP Knowledge desired

- Paper and electronic file management

- Attention to detail

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Fluent in communication by email, computer, and telephone

- Grammar skills

- Self-Starter and capable of making decisions/staying on task

- Open to learning product and processing knowledge

- Earnest care for customers wants & needs

- Desire to succeed

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Environment is not fully climate controlled.
