Sales Account Manager – Commercial Waste & Transfer Station Services
Location: Denver Metro Area, Colorado (Hybrid – field-based with occasional office visits) Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Account Manager to manage and grow our commercial waste services across the Denver metro area. This hybrid role requires a balance of hunting new business opportunities and managing existing accounts, with a strong focus on B2B prospecting, cold calling, and closing deals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with fieldwork across Colorado, and can build long-term relationships with commercial clients utilizing our transfer station services.
- Prospect, network, and close sales opportunities to achieve revenue and profitability goals within the Colorado market.
- Sell commercial waste services, including transfer station solutions, to contractors, businesses, and other commercial accounts.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, referrals, trade shows, and community engagement.
- Prepare bids, proposals, and contracts while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned Colorado clients, handling retention, renewals, and escalations.
- Track contract expirations, customer feedback, and implement proactive account retention strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and plant managers, to resolve service issues and optimize customer value.
- Maintain accurate prospect and customer records in CRM systems and generate weekly sales activity reports.- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred); in lieu of degree, 3+ years of relevant work experience. - Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in outside B2B sales, with a proven record in prospecting, territory management, and closing deals. Industry experience in the Denver Metro Area, commercial waste, or service-based sales strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.
- Proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must live in the Denver metro area and be able to travel throughout Colorado as needed.
- Competitive base salary ($60,000 – $70,000) plus uncapped commission

This position requires a mix of field sales, home office work, and occasional office visits. Candidates must be comfortable spending about 70% of their time in the field (prospecting and client visits across Denver Metro Area) and 30% on account management and planning.
