Overview
The Sales Account Manager will build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships for solar customers and contractors. This role focuses on selling the metal racking portion of solar projects within a designated territory. The individual will manage both new and existing customer relationships, working closely with the Director of Business Development to support strategic growth and capacity planning.
- Identify and qualify solar racking needs of prospective customers.
- Develop and close new business with Developers, EPCs, and Contractors.
- Provide detailed quotes, process purchase orders, and communicate shipping, warranty, and project updates.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure loyalty through excellent service.
- Attend trade shows and conferences as a representative of the company.
- Collaborate with internal teams on engineering, testing, and project launches.
- Manage administrative tasks including NDAs, launch forms, pre-qualification documents, and CRM updates.
- Support strategic planning and marketing efforts within assigned territories.- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Strong communication skills: phone, webinar, and email.
- Experience in the construction industry or mechanical aptitude is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- High motivation, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
- Base salary plus competitive per-project commission incentive. ($75,000k-$110,000k)
- Prolonged periods of desk/computer work.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs.
- Travel by car or plane and ability to man trade show booths.
