The IT & Security Manager will lead both technology operations and cybersecurity functions across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable IT services, secure infrastructure, and proactive defense against evolving threats. In addition to managing day-to-day IT operations, the IT & Security Manager will establish and oversee a security operations framework, driving initiatives in monitoring, incident response, compliance, and user awareness. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership, enabling business continuity, safeguarding company assets, and supporting a productive and secure work environment.
- Lead desktop support and help desk functions, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning and access controls.
- Oversee hardware and software procurement, inventory, and lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, hardware, and connectivity issues.
- Administer and support Office 365, SharePoint, Azure, and related services.
- Manage DNS, VPN, and identity/access management.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of IT infrastructure.
- Establish and manage a Security Operations framework to monitor, detect, and respond to threats.
- Oversee endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and post-mortem analysis.
- Manage vulnerability assessments, patch management, and remediation plans.
- Monitor security logs, alerts, and events through SIEM platforms.
- Drive user awareness training and enforce security policies.
- Collaborate with leadership on compliance initiatives (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
- Partner with executives to align IT and security strategies with business goals.
- Develop roadmaps for infrastructure growth, resilience, and cyber defense.
- Recommend technology investments and lead implementation of new security tools.
- Serve as primary contact for audits, penetration tests, and regulatory assessments.
- Manage IT-related projects, upgrades, and organizational initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years of IT operations and infrastructure management.
- 3–5 years of direct cybersecurity or SOC-related experience.
- Proven track record in managing hybrid cloud environments (Office 365, SharePoint, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management, DNS, VPN, and endpoint security tools.
- Experience leading IT incident response and security event monitoring.
- Proficiency with Microsoft cloud platforms (Azure AD, Intune, M365 administration).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and vulnerability management tools.
- Ability to implement and maintain security controls in alignment with compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Exposure to scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) a plus.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+. - CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking certification.- Additional security operations certifications (e.g., GIAC, CEH) are a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to balance day-to-day operational demands with long-term strategic initiatives.
