Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Spray Painter to join our in-shop or on-site team in Brampton. Our in-shop projects range from small, lightweight steel components to large structural fabrications, while our on-site team handles interior and exterior industrial, commercial, and metal refinishing/restoration projects.If you have experience with industrial coatings, take pride in your craftsmanship, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you.
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prep surfaces, including rust and old coating removal.
- Applying Coatings: Use spray equipment (and occasionally brushes/rollers) to apply paints, epoxies, urethanes, alkyds, acrylics, enamels, latex, and other protective finishes.
- Material Knowledge: Understand coating types, their properties, and proper application methods.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets specifications and high company standards.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE use and handling of hazardous materials.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean painting tools and spray equipment.
- Versatile Work Environment: Work in varied conditions and assist with setup as needed.
- Project Flexibility: Adapt spraying techniques to a wide range of steel items, shapes, and project complexities.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial spray painting (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of coating systems and surface preparation techniques
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong problem-solving skills related to surface prep and coating application
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
