Industrial Painter

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting, with a strong understanding of materials handling and fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Industrial Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint using various techniques, and ensuring high-quality finishes on products.

Painter Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial blasting and painting

· Basic knowledge of Steel Fabrication

· Competent in Blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation

· Knowledge of painting testing equipment

· Strong math skills

· Good communication skills

Job Duties

· Read blueprints and drawings to understand the painting requirements

· Blast surfaces to the required profile

· Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, grinding, taping, and applying primers

· Perform minor repair work on surfaces to be painted

· Selecting and mixing appropriate paints and other coatings according to specifications

· Applying paints and other coatings using a variety of tools, such as sprayers, brushes, and rollers

· Setting up, maintaining, and cleaning painting equipment

· Ensuring that painted surfaces meet quality standards and that paint application is uniform and free of runs, bubbles, and debris

· Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to OSHA safety procedures and HazMat regulations

· Inspecting final product for any inconsistencies or defects

· Complete all required documentation

· Operate overhead cranes and forklift

· Other duties as assigned

Must pass physical exam as required for use of respirator in accordance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A))

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
