Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs machinery, equipment and physical structures in industrial establishment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines, delivery vehicles and plant facility's electrical equipment.
- Install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automated machines, process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, and other equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and repair electro mechanical issues, diesel, pneumatic and hydraulics.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, period inspections and preventive maintenance of forklifts and vehicles.
- Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), technical school education; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiar with overhead cranes, fabrication procedures, and machine setup.
- Use of hand tools, grinders, mag drill, electrical cords and leads.
- Ability to fabricate parts and supports as needed using shop tools and welders.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read tape measure.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; off of ground conditions; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
