The applicant, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, will be responsible for process flow improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency increases in support of production activities at the Technology and Manufacturing Center in Oak Ridge, TN.
- Observe and analyze production processes
- Propose and lead changes to plant layout, process flow, and staffing
- Support product launch activities
- Support logistics activities for supply chains and shipments to customers
- Responsible for the achieving and maintaining targets for Availability, Performance, and Quality for manufacturing operations at the Technology and Manufacturing Center
- Support established scopes of work for manufacturing activities
- Create and maintain value stream maps
- Supports planning and analysis activities
- Designs and develops manufacturing processes with a cross-functional team utilizing internal and external resources.
- Manages work to ensure that deliverables are met within schedule and budget
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security, and environmental and safety program requirements
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or other related engineering discipline.
- 5+ Years experience in manufacturing- Experience with lean manufacturing
- Experience with industry manufacturing quality systems. i.e.: NQA-1, ISO-TS, AS9001
- Experience with composites manufacturing
- Experience with AIAG Core Tools
- Experience in Statistical Analysis
- Project Management experience
- Preference will be given to applicants currently holding an active DOE Q level security clearance
- Centrifuge manufacturing experience is a plus
- Experience with license driven safety significant parts/systems
