Industrial Engineer
RWI Manufacturing Inc., an Aurora based manufacturer of metal fabricated products is seeking a motivated engineer with a proven track record and commitment to excellence. The position involves creating and maintaining manufacturing standards, CNC machine programming, and manufacturing process support and improvements.
Responsibilities:
•Program press brakes, panel benders, lasers and other state-of-the-art robotic equipment
•Generate and maintain product routing on the computer system.
•Generate and maintain BOMs and item master data records.
•Perform operation analysis on all production methods to determine labor efficiency and suggest improvements.
•Perform operation analysis in a format that be converted to work instructions and lesson plans.
•Develop and lead training classes for supervisors and trainers on new production methods.
•Lead informational meetings with production and quality management to review new production layouts and operation analysis forms. Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems.
•Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
•Develop innovative solutions.
•Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
•Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.
•Advise on corrective actions and ensure projects are completed on time.
•Research and purchase new manufacturing technology.
Requirements The ideal candidate must have the following background and experience:
· Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (Preferred but not Required)
· 3 years programming experience
· Knowledge and understanding of Lean principles and processes.
· Continuous improvement and problem solving mindset.
· Must exhibit strong communication skills.
· Experience with CADMAN
· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
· MRP system knowledge and metal fabricating experience a plus.
Salary range: $65$80K
